The AXIS A9801 Security Relay provides a simple and cost-efficient way to increase the security of doors controlled by compatible Axis network intercoms. Installed on the secure side of the door, the relay helps prevent unauthorised entry if an intercom is physically tampered with.
During a tampering attempt, the security relay cuts the connection to the door strike, helping ensure that the door remains securely locked rather than allowing access through manipulation of the intercom or its wiring.
Improved Door Security
The AXIS A9801 Security Relay adds an additional layer of protection between the network intercom and the electronic door strike. By positioning the relay on the secure side of the entrance, critical door-control functionality is kept away from the externally accessible intercom.
If tampering with the intercom is detected, the relay disconnects the door strike connection so the locking mechanism remains secure.
Simple Security Upgrade
The relay is designed as a straightforward addition to compatible Axis network intercom installations. It provides enhanced protection without requiring unnecessary complexity, making it suitable for entrances where additional resistance to physical tampering is required.
