The AXIS A8207-VE MkII Door Station combines high-quality video surveillance, two-way visitor communication and access control integration in a single network device. Designed for secure entrances, it features a full 6MP camera, integrated RFID reader and keypad, clear two-way audio and extensive integration options for access control, video management and VoIP systems.

When combined with a compatible Axis network door controller, the door station can form part of a comprehensive entrance security solution while reducing the amount of separate equipment required around the doorway.

Video, Audio and Access Control in One

The A8207-VE MkII combines three important entrance security functions within one device.

Its integrated 6MP network camera provides detailed video surveillance for identifying visitors and monitoring activity around an entrance. Wide Dynamic Range helps maintain visibility where bright and dark areas appear within the same scene, while Axis Zipstream technology helps reduce bandwidth and storage requirements.

For visitor communication, acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction help provide clear two-way conversations. An integrated induction loop also assists compatible hearing aid users.

The built-in RFID reader and keypad can be integrated with an access control system, allowing authorised users to enter using supported credentials or PIN codes.

Enhanced Entrance Security

The AXIS A8207-VE MkII Door Station can be used for both visitor management and continuous entrance surveillance.

Its multi functional PIR sensor can detect approaching individuals and trigger configured actions such as video recording, notifications or prerecorded audio messages. Support for ACAP applications also enables additional analytics to run directly on the device.

Compatible third-party audio analytics can further extend the system by triggering recordings, alerts or audio warnings when configured acoustic events are detected.

Built-in cyber security features include signed firmware and Secure Boot, helping protect the integrity of the device and software running on it.

Open Integration Platform

The door station is designed around an open platform, allowing integration with a wide range of video surveillance, access control and VoIP solutions rather than limiting an installation to a single proprietary ecosystem.

Multiple interfaces, relays and supported protocols allow the unit to interact with external devices and systems. Depending on the installation, it can be used to activate lights, control doors, trigger cameras, operate alarms or communicate with additional sensors.

Its HDMI output can also be connected to a compatible display inside the entrance, creating a virtual window that allows occupants to view the area outside before opening the door.

Flexible Visitor Communication

Visitors can use the integrated keypad to call reception, security personnel or the person they are visiting. Call recipients can then see and communicate with the visitor before remotely granting access.

Calls can be handled using compatible computers, IP phones, mobile devices or video management systems, providing flexibility for both staffed and remotely managed premises.

Authorised personnel can also use the RFID reader and keypad for everyday access without requiring assistance from reception or security staff.
