The Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speaker achieves an outstanding STI-PA score of 0.95, meeting standards like NFPA 72 and NEMA SB-40 for emergency communication. Ideal for environments where clear voice delivery is critical.

For multiple speaker deployments, additional devices do not require a SIP license. A single registered speaker can be configured to multicast to any number and mix of additional Algo speakers, strobes and/or paging adapters as required, providing cost effective scalability using a minimum of network traffic.

The 8188 isn’t just for voice—it’s also music capable. Connect it to the Algo 8301 IP Paging Adapter to stream background music via multicast. When a page, alert, or tone is triggered, the speaker automatically prioritises voice over music for smooth operation.

Multicast support allows you to scale paging coverage effortlessly. A single registered speaker can multicast to multiple Algo IP speakers, strobes, or adapters, enabling campus-wide coverage with minimal network traffic.

Flexible Zone Paging

Easily set up zone paging for up to 50 zones. Choose between mapping each zone to a SIP extension or using DTMF keypress selection for efficient control. You can also mix registered and multicast zones to achieve flexible, cost-effective paging.

Algo 8188 SIP Ceiling Speaker – Smart Volume Control & Talkback

The 8188 includes Ambient Noise Compensation technology. Its built-in microphone automatically adjusts volume to match background noise, ensuring announcements are always heard but never too loud. The same microphone enables Talkback functionality, supporting two-way communication when required.

Multi-Application SIP Extensions

With multiple SIP registrations available, the 8188 handles Paging, Emergency Alerts, and Ringing seamlessly. Each extension can trigger stored WAV files, making it easy to configure custom tones for different events — from lock-downs to general announcements.

Emergency Notification Made Simple

Activate emergency alerts by dialling a dedicated extension or pressing a connected button such as the Algo 1202 or 1203. Configure up to 10 Emergency Alert extensions, each with a unique tone or WAV file. Alerts can be continuous until cancelled or set for a timed duration, ensuring instant response during critical events.

IP Loud Ringer Function

The 8188 can also serve as a loud ringer or night bell. Assign up to 10 Ring extensions and use the built-in memory to play ring tones for multiple phones or departments. Combine with an Algo strobe light for visual alerting in noisy environments.

Easy Installation & PoE Power

Installation is quick and clean. The self-amplified PoE speaker requires no external amplifier. It’s powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af) and mounts easily into a drop ceiling using the provided clamps or optional T-Bar accessories. For moisture-prone areas, a hydrophobic membrane screen is also available.
