The Bodet Sigma Master Clock provides centralised time synchronisation and programmable control for analogue, LCD and LED clock systems. Designed to distribute reliable and consistent time throughout a site, the Sigma can also manage bells, sounders, relays and other scheduled equipment from a single system.
With integrated NTP client and server functionality, programmable circuits and support for several external time references, it is suitable for schools, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, transport environments and other sites requiring coordinated time and scheduled control.
Centralised Time Synchronisation
The Sigma acts as the central time reference for connected clock systems, helping ensure that all clocks across a facility display the same accurate time.
It can distribute time to:
- Analogue clocks
- LCD digital clocks
- LED digital clocks
- NTP-compatible clocks
- Other supported time distribution equipment
Its internal quartz oscillator can be synchronised from several external references, including:
- ALS
- DCF
- GPS
- GLONASS
- Galileo
- NTP
This flexibility allows the master clock to integrate into a wide range of existing and new installations.
NTP Client and Server Functions
The Bodet Sigma Master Clock can operate as part of an Ethernet-based time synchronisation system using NTP.
It can receive time from an external NTP source and distribute accurate network time to compatible devices across the site.
This makes it suitable for organisations that need to synchronise both traditional clock systems and IP-based devices through the same central time infrastructure.
Programmable Bell and Relay Control
Three programmable circuits allow the Sigma to control bells, sounders and other building systems according to schedules.
Programs can be configured for:
- Weekly schedules
- Public holidays
- Special days
- Exceptional events
The programmable relay outputs can also be used to control systems such as:
- Heating
- Air conditioning
- Lighting
- Alarms
- Access control
- Bells and sounders
This allows organisations to automate routine operations and reduce unnecessary energy use.
Modular System Design
The Sigma features a modular design that supports the addition of up to two optional expansion cards.
This provides additional flexibility when integrating different time distribution standards or control functions into the system.
The modular approach also allows installations to be expanded as site requirements change.
Automatic Time Management
Several automatic functions help reduce ongoing maintenance.
These include:
- Automatic summer/winter time changeover
- Automatic recovery of time distribution after a power interruption
- Synchronisation from supported external time references
These features help ensure that connected clock systems remain accurate with minimal manual intervention.
Wall or Rack Mounting
The system is available in both wall-mounted and rack-mounted configurations, allowing installation to suit different equipment rooms, communications racks and site layouts.
This gives installers flexibility when integrating the master clock into either dedicated technical spaces or existing IT infrastructure.
SIGMA Configuration Software
SIGMA software provides a central interface for configuring the master clock and managing schedules.
Administrators can use the software to:
- Configure time outputs
- Configure optional expansion boards
- Schedule bells
- Schedule relays
- Manage heating and air-conditioning control
- Store system configurations
- Upload programming over the Ethernet network

The software is designed to simplify configuration and ongoing system management from a PC.
