Cyberdata 011446 Multicast VoIP Microphone is a device that allows the user, while pressing the “Page” button, to broadcast a live or buffered announcements directly to VoIP audio endpoints that support Multicast. Cyberdata 011446 Multicast VoIP Microphone is perfect for immediate live paging in schools, retail stores and manufacturing environments. In an echo sensitive environment, the delayed page support allows the user to record a message while the page button is depressed. Once the page button is released, the page will be sent.

Live Multicast Paging
Pressing the Page button allows the user to broadcast a live voice announcement to configured multicast destinations.
Compatible destinations can include:

- Other supported VoIP audio endpoints
Multicast transmission makes it possible to distribute the same announcement to multiple compatible devices without establishing separate individual calls to every endpoint.
Delayed Paging for Echo-Sensitive Areas
The CyberData Multicast VoIP Microphone also supports delayed paging for locations where hearing the announcement through nearby speakers while speaking could create distracting acoustic feedback or echo.
When delayed paging is enabled, the user holds the Page button while recording the announcement. Once the button is released, the recorded message is transmitted to the configured multicast destinations.
Delayed pages can be recorded for up to 60 seconds.
This can be particularly useful where the paging microphone is installed within hearing range of the speakers receiving the announcement.
