The Bodet Harmonys Outdoor IP Horn Speaker delivers powerful network audio for outdoor paging, bells, voice announcements, music and emergency notifications. Capable of producing sound levels of up to 110dB at 1 metre, the speaker is designed to provide clear audio coverage around buildings, courtyards, entrances and other large outdoor areas.
Its integrated compression system helps deliver intelligible messages, while remote volume adjustment allows the output level of each speaker to be configured individually through its embedded web server.
Bells, Messages and Emergency Alerts
The Harmonys outdoor speaker includes internal storage for MP3 audio files, allowing prerecorded content such as bells, chimes, melodies and lockdown alerts to be stored directly on the device.
Stored audio can be triggered through a compatible Bodet SIGMA master clock over the Ethernet network or manually using a compatible IP control box.
This makes the speaker suitable for scheduled everyday signalling as well as manually activated emergency notifications.
Live Voice Paging
The Bodet Harmonys Outdoor IP Horn Speaker also supports live voice announcements.
Messages can be broadcast from a compatible Harmonys IP microphone or sent from a computer, allowing authorised users to make immediate announcements across the audio system.
This is particularly useful for schools, industrial facilities and other sites where staff may need to quickly communicate instructions or safety information to people outdoors.
Three Audio Operating Modes
The speaker supports three primary modes of operation:
- Stored audio: Broadcast prerecorded melodies and alerts stored within the speaker
- Voice announcements: Broadcast live voice calls from a microphone or computer
- Audio streaming: Play streaming audio or music from a connected computer
The sound level for broadcasts can be adjusted using the speaker’s embedded web server, providing centralised control without requiring physical adjustment at the speaker.
Designed for Outdoor Environments
The speaker is designed for installation in exposed outdoor locations such as school courtyards, factory buildings and main entrances.
Its robust enclosure is manufactured from high-strength polycarbonate, helping provide durability in demanding environments.
The unit is designed to operate across temperatures ranging from -20°C to +55°C, allowing it to continue functioning across a broad range of outdoor conditions.
Suitable for Large Areas
The high sound output and horn-style design make the speaker particularly suitable for areas where announcements need to travel over greater distances than conventional indoor speakers.
Typical applications include:
- School courtyards and outdoor areas
- Factory and warehouse exteriors
- Building entrances
- Industrial sites
- Public facilities
- Emergency and lockdown notification systems
- Outdoor bell and paging systems
