The Mobatime TZI Series Time Zone Clock is a digital indoor world time clock for banks, airports, transportation terminals, hotels and businesses that communicate at the international level. It shows the time in several time zones side by side, with accurate and synchronised timekeeping to help manage people and projects across global zones. It has an aluminium housing and a black display background with a 160° viewing angle.
One Display for Each Time Zone
The TZI is available as a horizontal (H) or vertical (V) clock with between 2 and 8 displays, one for each time zone. The standard TZI has 57mm digits (horizontal with 2 to 7 displays, vertical with 2 to 8) or 100mm digits (horizontal with 2 or 3 displays, vertical with 2 to 6). The compact TZI.C is horizontal only, with 45mm digits (2 to 7 displays) or 57mm digits (2 to 5 displays). Reading distance is about 18 to 25m for 45mm digits, 25 to 30m for 57mm digits and 40 to 60m for 100mm digits, depending on colour, lighting and viewing angle.
Mobatime TZI Series Time Zone Clock Display Formats and Colours
Models are available showing hours and minutes (the .4 formats) or with seconds (the .6 formats), with 12 or 24 hour time. The digit colour can be red, yellow, pure green, blue or white. Display brightness can be adjusted manually or automatically, and the displays can also alternate between time, date, temperature, air pressure and humidity.
Mobatime TZI Series Time Zone Clock Location Names and Date Display
The standard TZI can include a digital location display of up to 8 characters (LN8) or up to 16 characters (LN16) for each time zone, so each time zone can be labelled with its location. An additional date display can be added in the first position, which reduces the maximum number of time zones by one. Location displays are not available for the TZI.C.
Synchronisation Options
The clock runs autonomously from an internal quartz base with an accuracy of ±0.1 seconds per day at constant temperature. Synchronisation options are: standard (autonomous, MOBALine or 24VDC pulses), a version with RS-232, RS-485 and IRIG-B interfaces, NTP, WiFi (2.4GHz), WiFi5 (2.4/5GHz) and an integrated GPS receiver with an external magnetic antenna (not available for the TZI.C). The RTC is backed up by a lithium battery for over 2 years without power and over 15 years with power.
Housing and Installation
The Mobatime TZI Series Time Zone Clock housing is aluminium, usually ordered in black or silver anodised, with any RAL colour on request. The front cover is anti-reflective plexiglass. Installation options are wall mounting (single-sided), ceiling suspension (single-sided) or a customer-specific installation. The clock is 39mm deep, with a degree of protection of IP40, and operates from -5°C to +55°C in 0% to 95% non-condensing humidity.
