The CyberData 011511 Wall Mount Speaker is a cost-effective SIP and multicast VoIP paging endpoint designed for indoor public address and notification systems. Using IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet, the speaker connects to an existing IP network using a single Ethernet cable for both power and data.
It can operate with SIP and multicast simultaneously, allowing organisations to combine direct VoIP paging with multicast announcements, scheduled messages and other network audio applications.
SIP and Multicast Paging
The speaker supports simultaneous SIP and multicast operation, providing flexibility for facilities using several types of IP paging.
It can receive audio from:
- SIP paging calls
- Standard multicast sources
- Compatible Poly phones
- Automated paging systems
- Bell scheduling systems
- Other multicast-enabled devices
Multicast operation is independent of the SIP environment, allowing the speaker to continue receiving compatible multicast audio without relying on a SIP call.
10 Prioritised Multicast Groups
The CyberData 011511 Wall Mount Speaker supports up to 10 multicast paging groups with audio prioritisation.
Different multicast sources can be assigned different priority levels so that important announcements can take precedence over routine paging or lower-priority audio.
This is useful for applications such as:
- General announcements
- Scheduled school bells
- Staff paging
- Emergency notifications
- Shift and break signals
- Routine operational messages
Loud and Night Ringer
A second SIP extension can be configured for the Loud/Night Ringer function.
This allows the speaker to provide an audible notification for incoming calls or other configured events in addition to its standard paging functions.
The feature is useful in locations where conventional telephone ringing may not be loud enough or where a central audible alert is required.
Network-Adjustable Volume
Speaker volume can be adjusted remotely over the network, reducing the need to physically access the device when changing audio levels.
A high-efficiency speaker driver provides audio output from a compact wall-mounted enclosure.
Secure IP Communications
The speaker supports several security technologies for deployment on local or cloud-based IP networks.
Security capabilities include:
- TLS 1.2
- TLS mutual authentication
- SRTP encrypted media
- HTTPS configuration
- Secure autoprovisioning options
These features help protect SIP signalling, audio and administrative communications when used with compatible network infrastructure.
Multiple SIP Servers
Support for multiple SIP servers provides additional redundancy options.
If an installation is designed with multiple compatible SIP servers, the endpoint can be configured to support a more resilient communications environment than a single-server deployment.
Flexible Autoprovisioning
The speaker supports autoprovisioning using:
- HTTP
- HTTPS
- TFTP
This can simplify deployment across larger installations by allowing configuration information to be distributed centrally rather than manually configuring every speaker.
Web-Based Configuration
Administrators can configure the device through an HTTP or HTTPS web interface, with HTTPS enabled by default.
Firmware can also be upgraded through the web interface, simplifying ongoing maintenance and software updates.
VLAN Support
Support for IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging allows paging and voice traffic to be separated from other network services where required.
This can help integrate the speaker into structured enterprise networks that use dedicated voice or paging VLANs.
Device Health Monitoring
Configurable event generation provides information about device health and operational status to compatible monitoring systems.
This is particularly useful in larger installations where administrators need visibility of multiple paging endpoints across a site.
Compact Indoor Installation
The streamlined enclosure has a small footprint and includes mounting hardware for straightforward wall installation.
CyberData 011511 Wall Mount Speakers compact design makes it suitable for applications including:
- Schools
- Offices
- Healthcare facilities
- Retail environments
- Warehouses
- Commercial buildings
- Reception areas
- Manufacturing facilities
